Feedback for Strength Classes

Since the end of January, I have lost 27 lbs and I know without a doubt that I could not have done it without the Virtual OTB classes. With the gyms closing in March I could have easily given up, but Power Ryde provided virtual OTB strength classes, challenges, and stretch classes that I could do 4-5 times a week live or when my schedule allowed. The OTB classes have provided me structured workouts, confidence, increased endurance, and are always a great sweat! Since the gyms have reopened I continue to do the OTB classes to compliment cycling and running. The classes are always different and I look forward to each one of them. I truly could not have made it this far on my health journey without Casey and her OTB classes!!!

The Virtual Strength Classes by Casey are The Bomb! Each workout is tailored to work on multiple areas of the body (upper, lower, and core) and sometimes bursts of cardio as well. The workouts are helping me build/maintain strength, while keeping me looking toned. Every workout is different, and uses a variety of props (weights, bands, balls, etc.), so I never get bored, and Casey LOVES to make them challenging. She is very fun and motivating, and her dialogue makes the classes fly by. I love it when I feel a little sore the next day, as it reminds me of how hard I worked and keeps me coming back for more. I typically do the classes immediately after I ryde, and being able to do them virtually from home is so convenient.  No excuses - I can either join live, or do it on my own time later!

So I first started going to the Off The Bike classes by mistake :-) I actually thought it was a spin class! When Casey told me that it was a strength class, I thought - “What the heck! I’ll give it a try.” Two years later, I’m still going, albeit virtually now, and loving every minute! That first class made me realize that I really needed to strengthen everything. Power Ryde spin classes are killer cardio, but I didn’t realize how much work my core, upper body and lower body were lacking in muscle tone. Still to this day, I hurt in places that I didn’t even know could hurt, but these classes are full of variety moves that hit multiple muscle areas at once, using props that I never thought would hurt so good. Who would have thought that a children’s ball could be used to work your core?!?! I’m seeing muscle tone all over, while not bulking up - which is what I want from strength workouts! Casey pushes you to your max all while giving you options to adjust to your current fitness level and, as always at Power Ryde, no judgment if you just need to switch from 5lb weights to 3lbs to get through the moves. And just when you think you can’t push yourself any further, Casey gets you through - whether it be a funny story to keep your mind occupied as you struggle to hit those last couple of reps or words of motivation that “Yes you can, Yes you will!” Love these classes, love the results and love the Power Ryde family! #CurseTheBall #YesYouCanYesYouWill #NoPainNoGain

I took some of Casey's virtual classes when she was doing them live on Facebook. I was telling my husband how much I enjoyed them and how good I felt afterwards, so I started taking more classes in July. BEST DECISION EVER!!!!

The virtual strength classes kick my butt!!! I feel stronger and more confident in myself more than ever. I love Casey's energy and her personality throughout the class. I love how Casey gives us encouraging sayings throughout the class and she calls out everyone by name. We are not numbers/members - she treats you like family.  I can't take the live classes, so I do the recorded classes at night. It's like I am there. I really need that.  Sometimes it’s best that she can't see me stick my tongue out at her or give her the evil eye (just kidding)!

I look forward to working out again and can't wait to see what she has in store for us.

Whenever you have a suggestion or want to do a certain body part, Casey always accommodates.

I can't tell her enough how much I appreciate her teaching the virtual classes...I am very hesitant to go back to a gym and these classes have helped me tremendously...physically and emotionally.

Virtual off the bike classes are the best!! These classes are one of my favorite things that came out of this pandemic! I quit my current gym membership and have no plans to return to my normal routine. You instruct the most effective workouts! Your energy and enthusiasm makes exercise enjoyable.

So much so, that my 14-year-old daughter ASKS (without any prompting) to “do a Casey class”. This is a teenager who dislikes ANY physical activity!! We always laugh at your comments like “you’ll get over it”.

We love working out with you so much that we are taking you abroad!! We are moving to Geneva, Switzerland in a few weeks! Your classes are going international!

Thank you for everything you do! I appreciate how hard you work!

When quarantine started, Power Ryde stepped up in a BIG WAY, offering virtual strength classes to help keep us motivated. I started out with a few thinking it would help keep me active, soon I found myself doing every single one because I have NEVER had a workout quite like this! I have been so sore (in such a good way); Casey knows what she is doing! The fact that I can take these classes on my own time has been a game changer for me. With a mix of the RealRyder cycling classes & virtual strength classes, my runs have improved so much, literally shaving MINUTES off my miles! I could not recommend Power Ryde enough.

The virtual workouts have been a saving grace during the quarantine. I tried other online workouts and they were either too easy, overly produced, or just too cheesy! Casey's workouts are authentic and you feel like you are in the studio with her. I love doing them from my home when I am not comfortable going to the gym and it's a nice option when my kid's schedules get in the way of working out since you have the choice to do them live or at your convenience at a later time. I know I will always be challenged and won't be wasting my time! Thanks for helping make this crazy time a little easier!

I absolutely LOVE the Virtual Strength classes, especially the 60-minute challenges!  It’s the perfect mix of strength and cardio, and Casey is always adding creative new moves to keep us on our toes.  I am able to modify for lower impact and still burn up to 500 calories per class!  The best part is that Casey does the entire workout with us – it’s so motivating to see her powering through all the sets, calling each person by name and pushing us to get stronger together.

Even though I do not join the classes live, watching the recordings is just as fun! Casey plays great music and does a great job taking your mind off the burn. And let me tell you, there is serious burn! The classes are a great mix of strength and cardio and the time goes by so quickly. I never knew an hour long workout would go by so fast. I genuinely look forward to every workout and find myself smiling and laughing multiple times, especially when my muscles are cramping or my legs feel like they are going to give out! I have never felt as strong, mentally or physically, as I have since attending these classes regularly!

I am 63 years old and my doctor said that I should be doing weight bearing exercises several times per week for my bones (since we all lose bone density as we age). I told her about Casey’s strength classes and she said those were perfect. I have been doing the classes for several years and not only am I stronger and have more defined muscles, but my balance (another thing we lose as we age) has improved significantly. The classes aren’t only fun, but go by quickly. Casey is so motivating and empowering that just when I think I can’t do one more rep, she says something which keeps me going.

I also modify where I need to (such as doing jumping jacks instead of jumping rope).  I recommend Casey’s classes for all ages!

OFF The Bike is amazing, but hard, because my core is weak. Casey is encouraging even when I am dying to keep up. I feel the pain for days after...Oh so good pain!

- Student

One of the best at home workouts that I have done!

Off The Bike is to core conditioning as Power Ryde is to cardio conditioning. I absolutely love the total body workout I get in the Off The Bike classes! The classes are upbeat, fast paced and challenging from start to finish. No two classes are the same which keeps me coming back for more. It's a great complimentary workout to the cardio fitness I get from Power Ryde. My new favorite routine is to double up - cardio workout on the bike followed by strength workout in Off The Bike.

- Student

I love the OFF The Bike classes! Casey and Stephanie both do a great job targeting all the areas I want to firm and strengthen. Isolating movements with light weights and bands give me a great burn. I don’t even need to think about what I’m doing because Casey and Stephanie show me exactly what to do. I always leave the class feeling stronger and better. My favorite thing to do is take a Power Ryde cycle class and then take the Off The Bike class; best workout ever! Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

- Student

Another great class from Power Ryde; the Off The Bike class is a combination of boot camp, core, and total body workout with a great instructor. You can do a Power Ryde class and then do your Off The Bike class and you will be set for the day!

- Student

You have try "Off the Bike"! The class was awesome and a great compliment to your cardio on the Power Ryde bikes. The 45 minutes flew by and I every muscle in my body feels the work from those bands, balls and dumbbells!

- Student

I love/hate these classes; kinda like a relationship with pain! I always feel so great when I have completed a strength class but boy is it ever a hard workout! I notice a difference in my middle when I take these classes on a consistent basis.

- Student

I love having the option at Power Ryde to get a full body strength workout in addition to cardio. #fullservice

- Student

I absolutely love coming to OFF The Bike Strength! Being able to come and knock out weight training in just 45 minutes and know I’m getting a great workout is awesome. I don’t have to plan out my own training program and it’s easier to stay accountable amongst others in class! The instructors are always changing it up and the music makes the time fly by!

- Student

I’m a big fan of cross-training. The OFF The Bike classes at Power Ryde are a huge value add from my perspective. When you combine this class with a Power Ryde cycle class, it’s one of the best workouts for anyone at any fitness level!!

- Student

I just wanted you to know how much I love your virtual strength classes. I try to do them at least 3 times a week, and often my girls join me to do the classes together. I love the workouts; they are always different, challenging, and keep me in great shape. I also enjoy doing them at home, when the timing works for me.

- Student

I absolutely love the off the bike class! You do a great job of hitting so many different muscles and the exercises are awesome and so unique! The time goes by so fast and I leave feeling like I got a great workout in.

- Student

OFF The Bike is a fun, fast and effective full-body workout! I can feel changes in my body after a few sessions! The supportive environment makes it great for any fitness level.

Just did the treadmill class today because I was out of town and holy moly it was SO good! I needed that. It kicked my butt and I still had fun!
