Who Brought the POWER in May (2017)?

Polaroid style picture of Lindsey Nuhn with 'Who Brought the POWER in May'?

Lindsey Nuhn

This month put your hands together for Lindsey Nuhn, one of our dedicated evening ryders. Lindsey has only been ryding with us for about six months but already she has come so far. From spending the majority of class in the saddle to sprinting, shaking, and jogging out of the saddle, Lindsey improves with each class and we love watching her progress...we also LOVE seeing her bright, smiling face walk through the doors 2-3 evenings a week!

What, or who, brought you to Power Ryde?

My stepmom. She came across the Power Ryde website and convinced me to try it out with her. I was reluctant because I had never tried spinning and I knew it would be very challenging. I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did!

Do you remember your first ryde? How did you feel? What kept you coming back for more?

My first ryde was even more challenging than I ever expected. I spent most of my first ride in the saddle. Even though it was one of the hardest workouts I've ever done, I couldn't wait to come back and try it again. I loved the energy of the class and the great music.

Why do you ryde at Power Ryde?

The classes are a blast! It's impossible to not enjoy myself every time I come to class. Every ryde is different but you always get a great, full-body workout.

What did you do for fitness prior to Power Ryde?

I never exercised consistently before Power Ryde. I would go to the gym and try different cardio machines, but I couldn't find the well-rounded workout that I wanted.

What goals has Power Ryde helped you achieve?

When I started Power Ryde, I told myself I would go at least twice a week. I'm now doing 3 to 4 classes most weeks! I can tell a huge difference in my endurance since starting Power Ryde.

What goals are you hoping to achieve in 2017?

My goal is to continue to push myself in Power Ryde classes and work on having an all around healthier lifestyle.

Do you have a favorite moment that you remember at Power Ryde?

When I first started Power Ryde, I spent a lot of the class in the saddle. I remember the first class I was able to follow the instructor for the entire class. I doubted myself in the beginning, so it felt great to accomplish that!

What is your favorite music to ryde to?

I listen to all kinds of music but I'm a 90s girl at heart! It's fun to ryde to anything that's fast paced and high energy.

Tell us a fun fact about your yourself.

I love all Cincinnati sports. Go Bearcats! :)

What motivates you?

I'm motivated by the changes I've seen in myself since I started at Power Ryde. Whenever I'm able to accomplish something new in a class, it motivates me to challenge myself even more the next class.

When you are not Power Ryding, what can we find you doing?

I'm an elementary school teacher, so I plan on spending a lot of time relaxing by the pool for the next few months :).

^^^That sounds amazing and well-deserved! Way to go Lindsey, we love that your hard work has paid off!
