Jane Ceddia and Erin Giblin

This month we are spotlighting a Mother-Daughter Duo who not only ryde together, but also work together!

Jane started ryding with us back in 2014, when we were still at our old location; I love that we still have clients from way back when, in our tiny second-floor studio! She then encouraged her daughter (and boss!), Erin, to come ryde with her.

Both of these ladies have been Power Ryders for many years and are always up for a challenge. When we offered our 90-minute class series, back in January, February, and March, they both did ALL...THREE...CLASSES...TOGETHER! There is nothing we love more than a mother and daughter making time to come in and sweat with us!

Keep reading to see why Jane and Erin continue to ryde with us after so many years!

What brought you to Power Ryde?

Jane - My good friend, Anne Neuville, introduced me to Power Ryde in 2014.

Erin - Jane introduced Power Ryde to me years ago. I was looking for a spinning classes close to home and before work.

Do you remember your first ryde and how you felt after? What has kept you coming back for more week after week?

Jane - I was very nervous and intimidated by the bike. I was very sore after that first ride and honestly didn’t look forward to doing it again. I feel so much better mentally and physically and that keeps me coming back for more.

Erin - My first ride was eye opening. I realized not only how out of shape I was, but also the lack of core strength that I had. My bottom was sore for 3 days. I keep going back because of the sense of community and family.

Do you have a favorite memory that you remember at Power Ryde?

Jane - My most proud accomplishment was completing the 90-minute bike ride 3 times.

Erin - My favorite memory is when Jane and I completed the 1st of three 90-minute rides. The sense of accomplishment was overwhelming.

What is your favorite part about coming to class together?

Jane - I’m more relaxed and motivated when Erin is with me. We push each other to work hard even when we don’t feel like it.

Erin - We get to push each other to be our best. It really helps knowing that someone is going to hold you accountable to show up and put forth a good effort.

Tell us a fun fact about each other.

Jane - We work together and Erin is my boss!

Erin - Jane loves to garden and is an unrelenting, die hard Reds fan.

When you are not Power Ryding, what can we find you doing?

Jane - You’ll find me working on house and landscape projects and at Norris Lake.

Erin - Running with the kids or crafting!
