This month we are spotlighting a newer Power Ryder who started coming because of a free giveaway we did on social media! Give it up for Heather!!

Back in February, our instructor Stephanie did a giveaway on Instagram where she gave away 3 free class passes to the first 3 healthcare workers to respond. Stephanie wanted to give back to our awesome healthcare workers while promoting health and wellness during this time; amazing! Heather was one of the lucky three who responded and got a free class. The coolest part is, SHE KEPT COMING BACK after that class! Determined to master the bike and the side-to-side tilt of our bikes, Heather started coming multiple times a week. And as I write this, she has come the last 9 days in a row...I have no doubt she will make tomorrow day 10!

Keep reading below to learn more about Heather and why she rydes day after day...literally!

What brought you to Power Ryde?

I tried Power Ryde bc Stephanie reached out to me when healthcare workers were given a free ride. I hadn’t been working out for a while and it was bumming me out, so I jumped at the opportunity. I didn’t really know anything about Power Ryde, but it made me so happy after trying it, I haven’t looked back!

Do you remember your first ryde and how you felt after? What has kept you coming back for more week after week?

I remember after my first ride I was like, what the heck just happened. I was thinking how in the world are these people shaking these handle bars so fast and not falling off. I didn’t know what I was doing, but I knew I needed to come back bc I felt so happy afterwards.

What is your favorite music to ryde to?

I LOVE music. I love all kinds of music. I love riding to anything with a great beat that makes me want to dance. I probably find a reason to dance just about every day. It just makes me so happy.

Tell us a fun fact about your yourself.

Fun fact...well, I’m afraid of being around large bodies of water. I don’t like going over bridges or flying in a plane over the water. You won’t find me in the ocean; waaay too many creatures out there. Well, I will walk out knee deep, but that’s good enough. A cruise is not in my future. Land good, water bad!

When you are not Power Ryding, what can we find you doing?

When I’m not at Power Ryde, you can find me working (I’m a nurse), having fun with my 3 kids and shopping at Kroger. I swear I find a reason to go to Kroger just about every day.
